Abstract: The casting, i.e., the mould for glass products, is botained by melting the charge of several raw material according to a given chemical composition, treating the melt by adding rare earth-magnesium alloy and adding simultaneously a small amount of tellurium to control the thickness of quenched layer, and then casting the melt into castingmauld with quenched iron core. Finally, the casting is annealed by a two-stage high temperature annealing process. The production process of this invention is simple. The life of the mould is so long that it can be used over 600,000 times, and its cost is lower than that of low alloy cast iron.
